The Castle at Aramoana. A magical place. Have you ever dreamed to be a captain? Or to rule in your own kingdom? At the Castle guest house, you can be both! Come discover this unique castle by the sea which has evolved from a crib after 8 years of hard work, built by Margaret, Doi and friends. Structure made from natural wood in post and beam style. Surrounded by gardens and just five minutes walk from two beautiful beaches. It has a cosy, quirky and uplifting atmosphere. Activities - surfing, land yachting, walking, studying native wildlife( including penguins and seals!),swimming and cycling. Each room is it's own little universe to get lost (or found) in! There is a collection of books to explore, an array of dress ups, and for a price you can even receive a visit from the castle ghost after dark. We also offer a booth, which can be used for making wishes, impromptu poetry and storytelling.
