Croziers Turkeys have been a trusted supplier of free range turkeys for 50 years! For all of that time they have always believed in farming free range. The business has never bucked to consumer trends, the farming practises have always been about the welfare of the bird.

After 50 years the Croziers have stepped aside in 2015 and the company was taken over by the Smith Family, Kyle and Monique along with their two young daughters Isla and Ruby.

Croziers Turkeys control the whole process from breeding, hatching, growing, processing and we even prepare our own antibiotic and hormone free feed on site!

Crozier’s Turkeys is proud to bring you New Zealand’s
ONLY 100% truly free range turkey. Each flock enjoys a
three-acre paddock, where the birds are completely free
to roam. They have shelter sheds fitted with roosts, so they
can sleep as they would in the wild, as well as sheltering
from adverse weather. Grass seed is used as bedding in
the sheds and for the birds to dust bathe in.

To keep our truly free range reputation, Crozier’s Turkeys
only produces birds over the warmer months. Otherwise,
for animal welfare reasons, the birds would end up
spending most of their lives locked in a shed, due to cold
and wet weather conditions over the winter months.

Our turkeys are non-intensively farmed, so disease risks
are lower, and there are no welfare issues common to
intensive farming practices.

Our birds are processed through our small Ministry of
Primary Industries (MPI) approved processing plant. The
processing is done by hand to ensure excellent quality
control.

We only use an organic method of sanitation, so there
is no use of chlorine in the handling and washing of our
birds.

Turkey is one of the leanest meats available!
It is high in zinc, B vitamins, phosphorus,
tryptophan, selenium, potassium and protein!
