I love baby wearing. When I had my first baby over 5 years ago I had never heard of it, never knew the benefits and never understood how much it would change my life as a parent. When my second child came along I was lucky enough to be introduced to a stretchy wrap, and was given the opportunity to wrap my baby girl close to me - I was instantly hooked.

Babywearing is the term used to carry your child with the support of an item used to hold the child in place, leaving you with your hands free and your child close to you. There are many different kinds of baby carriers and even more brands available.

Fox and Fern currently offers three kinds of carriers:
- Soft structured carriers - with buckles and padded straps to provide security and comfort. I have ordered a selection of carriers from the United Kingdom - a company called Rose and Rebellion - http://www.roseandrebellion.com
These carriers come in three different sizes, baby, in-between and preschool. These carriers are suitable for babies from 3 months (depending on head control) to 20kg (Roughly 5 years old) and can be used for carrying your child on your front, or on your back.

- Ring Slings. Ring slings can be used from newborn until 12 kgs and are purchased from Poland from Natibaby. http://www.natibaby.eu

- Woven Wraps. Also purchased from Natibaby. The fabric is used to wrap and secure the child from newborn until 30kgs using a number of different carries. Fox and Fern recommends mastering a front carry with your child before attempting to carry on your back.

With these three styles of carriers I hope to provide an introduction to baby wearing and as my business grows I will be introducing more brands, more styles and more selection.
