Companion Animal Hospital

The experienced and friendly team at the Companion Animal Hospital provides top-quality veterinary care for all types of small pets. We are open to the public, and you can also ask your vet for a referral for difficult cases.
Our services

Routine healthcare

You can bring your pet to us by appointment for all everyday healthcare such as vaccinations, health checks, dental, and speys or castrations. We sell pet food, flea treatment and worming products.



Pet Emergency Centre

Our Pet Emergency Centre provides excellent emergency and critical care treatment to your pet in a purpose-built, fully equipped facility.



State-of-the-art equipment

The hospital offers surgery, x-ray, ultrasound, CT, intensive care and laboratory facilities.



Avian and reptile clinical service

We offer high-quality health care for companion and aviary birds, reptiles and native wildlife. We have dedicated avian and reptile veterinarians, separate avian and reptile hospital facilities, intensive care units, endoscopy, radiography and ultrasonography. We also offer health and dietary advice and new bird examinations.


Canine physical therapy and rehabilitation service

We offer hydrotherapy, massage, Swiss ball and balance board exercises for dogs to aid post-surgical recovery or to help manage other ailments and conditions such as arthritis or weight management.



Animal behaviour service

Our trained animal behaviour veterinarian and nurse offer services including selecting a pet, early education and training, and resolution of behavioural problems. Our staff work with dogs, cats, horses, and birds.

Our team

At the clinic, veterinary students learn on the job under the direct supervision of highly qualified and experienced vets and veterinary nurses. Our junior staff may perform simple procedures under strict supervision and assist in higher-level diagnostic or surgical procedures. All our nurses hold veterinary nursing qualifications and are devoted to providing high-quality care to your pets. Our hospital has vets and veterinary nurses on duty 24 hours a day seven days a week.

The Farm Services Clinic provides on-farm treatment for all farm animals, while a large animal hospital provides ongoing care, radiographs and surgery.

Equine

Our highly skilled equine team offers a broad range of medical and surgical expertise. You can bring your horse in by appointment or ask your vet to refer your horse to us in difficult cases.

Our services
•High-speed treadmill to investigate poor performance and upper airway problems.
•Dentistry: the clinic is equipped with the most modern equipment.
•Video endoscopes allow visualisation of the horse’s pharynx, trachea, oesophagus and stomach.
•Colour ultrasound for imaging soft tissue including tendons, the heart, abdominal organs and internal reproductive organs.
•Digital radiography to x-ray limbs, neck, chest and skull.
•Computerised tomography (CT) to image head and limbs.
•Surgery by surgical specialists for emergency and elective surgical procedures.
•Orthopaedics to investigate lameness, key-hole joint surgery (arthroscopy) and fracture repairs.
•Soft tissue surgery including castrations, cryptorchids, tie-back operations and colic surgery.
•Medical expertise in gastroenterology, neurology, ophthalmology, respiratory disease, cardiology, poor performance, behavioural problems, neonatology and critical care medicine.
•Reproductive services are offered in-house, including breeding with frozen semen.

Our senior equine clinicians are supported by experienced and qualified anaesthetists, nurses, technicians, clinical pathologists, and diagnostic imaging specialists. Final-year vet students working under supervision allow us to provide 24-hour intensive care.
