Situated in Taradale, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, we are a disability service, creative space, art gallery, and lifeskills education centre. Our Wine Box Auction is now an established event on the Hawke's Bay art calendar and our education programme features courses in art, life skills, bone carving, sculpture, Toi Maori, painting and computers, to name a few! The art produced at Realpeople@mosaic is fresh, inventive, uncontrived and just amazing! Whether you call it "Raw Art", "Outsider Art", "Naive Art " or "Art Brut" it is the kind of art other artists wish they could make. Our aim is to support disabled people to become more confident and independant... we believe that disability shouldn't matter! You can buy genuine outsider art from our art gallery or on-line gallery and support Realpeople@mosaic. You can visit our artists studio and meet the real people behind the unreal art! No wonder we are called "Mosaic" - our amazing mosaic wall and mermaid is more than a great public artwork and tourist attraction - its a metaphor for everything amazing that we do!

Realpeople are disability services run by Presbyterian Support East Coast. They are Realpeople@Mosaic, Realpeople@TheBeacon and Realpeople@rowan. We provide quality services to people with disabilities offering residential, vocational and day respite for young people between the ages of 16 to 65years. Collectively we aim to support people to become as independent as possible and to take a valued role in their community.
