RALI is a national distributor of globally recognised waterborne and solvent coatings, including Cromax, Cromax Pro, Standox and Standoblue, Imron Fleet Line and Nason Industrial. RALI also manufacture our own Kiwi-made light industrial products catering to the passenger, commercial vehicle markets, the industrial and marine industry and also aviation. We are part of the Resene Group of companies – still a Kiwi-owned operation based in Wellington. With 14 stores, a team of Technical Specialists and a mobile Sales team nationwide, we offer a complete package for your business needs.

From small beginnings as Anglo Santano in 1980, when a small group of entrepreneurs spotted a gap in the market for automotive and industrial paints, they purchased old machinery from Taubmans and began to develop a range of specialised paints and coatings.

Santano enjoyed rapid growth; propelled by their quality products and high market demand for commercial paint suppliers, they became suppliers of agency lines which were available for resale, including Cromax (formerly DuPont Refinish). This attracted the attention of Resene, who were the lead suppliers of Cromax in both Wellington and Christchurch. Recognising the opportunity to increase their capacity and become nationwide suppliers, the purchase was made, resulting in the company we know today as RALI (Resene Automotive & Light Industrial).

Today, RALI are leading paint suppliers for a variety of commercial industries, with a range of coatings to meet every demand. As well as paints, we supply all collateral products, including fillers and bog, solvents and sandpaper to primers/topcoats and spray painting equipments.

RALI take pride in being Australasia’s largest distributor of Cromax, Cromax Pro, Standox and Standoblue solvent and waterborne paint, alongside the commercial vehicle offering Imron Fleet Line. Included in the locally manufactured lines is Durepox, a unique product approved for use in Americas Cup racing.
