Te Hauora was established in 1985 as a community support service for Maori Health in the Wairarapa region. It grew from initiatives developed by Maori Health Workers seeking to establish a more focused approach to the delivery of Community Health Services. THROW has maintained extensive networks both with Maori and non-Maori providers and community.

SERVICE DELIVERY AREAS
Services are kaupapa Maori, and we cover the Wairarapa region from Pukaha (Mt Bruce) to Featherston including Martinborough to Cape Palliser (Coast to coast). All ethnic groups may access the services which are free of charge.

AGE CRITERIA
AoD (Alcohol and Drug): 14yrs up
Mental Health: 17yrs up
Kuia & Koroua: 50yrs and up
Rongoa: All age groups
Whanau support: 7yrs and up
Ka Rewa: 10yrs and up
