Lose yourself forever at Wakefields Lodge. The house is a remarkable character home built in the early 1900's and set in exquisite grounds. Window seats, a stunning open fire place, french doors everywhere leading out to the garden and deck.

The accommodation is flexible with three bedrooms and two bathrooms available;

The Floral Room is a large well appointed bedroom situated on the ground floor of the house. It features a queen and single bed, a flat screen with a DVD player, and wide windows overlooking a rural setting. This room can accommodate up to three people.

Upstairs, the Daffodil Room features a queen sized bed, a large built in wardrobe and overlooks the vegetable garden. This room can accommodate up to two people. There is also a third smaller bedroom with a king single available on request.

Step outside the home and you are enveloped in the scene that surrounds you. Pathways lead you down through the large woodland country garden which is open to the public by appointment. Walk down the sloping paths, through trees under planted with gorgeous garden beds where roses bob their heads in the breeze as you are drawn to the bridge and lake. Choose one of the many garden seats or decks and enjoy an evening drink in the garden and listen to the beautiful bird life before dinner.
Guest Access

There is a guest lounge where after a long journey you can relax, read a book and enjoy access to 24 hour tea and coffee making facilities overlooking the garden. You are welcome to share the use of rooms that are shown on the listing ie the Living Room with the fireplace and TV and of course in nice weather the garden. There is also a tennis court with racquets and balls available for guests to enjoy a game or two. Some gym equipment is also set up in the garage and is available for guests.
Interaction with Guests

This is my home and so someone is likely to be at the house whenever you stay. I am more than happy to discuss the area and things to do as well as to point you towards things of local interest.

A delicious continental breakfast is provided every morning including coffee/ tea, juices, cereal, croissants, toast, and eggs made to order. Evening meals are available on request at an additional charge.

Wakefields Lodge is situated in a beautiful country setting only five minutes from Palmerston North. It is a safe and friendly neighbourhood with scenic views over country hillsides and many walks for you to enjoy.

Our nearest bus service is a 5 minute drive away and the nearest airport about 20 minutes and from there you can get to other places - I can arrange drop offs and pick ups at an additional cost.
